WFAR-21, a 3-day workshop organized by the University of Lahore is scheduled for October 20, 2022. For details, please refer to the enclosed flyer and trailing mail.

About:

The 21st Pak-German Workshop on Field and Assistive Robotics (WFAR-21) is scheduled on October 20-22, 2022. The three-day event will be organized by UoL. The workshop will unfold new and exciting horizons of research in the field of Robotics. We shall have speakers from Pakistan and outside. Experts from the field of Agriculture, Food Security and Water Efficiency among Government, Industry and Academia will be invited to share their work. A Robotic Project Competition and a Research Poster competition will be held during the workshop.

• Entry fee for the competitions is Rs.500/- per team

Talks on:

• Perception in Offroad Robotics
• Haptics, Human-Robotics, Control and Automation
• Pedestrian activity recognition for an autonomous bus
• Autonomous light weight robot for steep slope agriculture
• Marine Robotics
• Swarm Robotics
• Indigenous development of robotic technology in the Human-Centered Robotics lab
• Object detection under image noises for agriculture use cases
• Generative adversarial networks for agriculture

Competitions:

• Robotic Project Competition:
  WFAR-21 includes a Robotics Project Competition on 20-21 Oct 2022. Robotics projects from universities and companies can take part to showcase their projects and win cash prizes. Evaluation will be both about robot hardware and software.
• Research Poster Competition:
  There will be a Poster Competition in WFAR-21 on 20-21 Oct 2022. Research Posters on Robotics are invited from universities to showcase their research work and win cash prizes. Evaluation will be both about quality of research and its presentation.

Winning Prize Distribution:

• The prize money for the 1st position holding team is Rs.20,000/-
• The 2nd position holding team is Rs.10,000/-
• The 3rd position holding team is Rs.5,000/-
