IBA ORIC - Pakistan Sports Knowledge Cluster

August 29, 2024: The School of Business Studies (SBS) at the IBA Karachi is pioneering the future of sports through academia by launching the Pakistan Sports Knowledge Cluster.

Our first seminar on ‘Building a Sport Ecosystem: The Critical Role of Academia’ brought industry leaders and sports enthusiasts together to explore innovative strategies for a sustainable sports future.

Hosted by Dr. Abdullah Zafar Sheikh, Dean, SBS and Chairperson of the Marketing Department, Dr. Nida Aslam Khan, the event highlighted the growing importance of sports marketing, with inspiring insights from keynote speaker Professor Joseph Cooper, Dr. J. Keith Motley Endowed Chair of Sports Leadership and Administration, at the UMass Boston.

The seminar featured two enlightening panel discussions on building a sports ecosystem and how academia can play a vital role in it, featuring esteemed panelists.
